Beautiful and Careful Dental Work
Dr. Mahmoodian has given me a beautiful smile for the first time in my life. Previously I had fillings in the front and dingy teeth that were cracking. Another dentist told me to get veneers but Dr. Mahmoodian explained that my teeth were not strong enough. I might have gotten work that didn't fix my problem if not for her. So the staff helped me get insurance coverage and a dental plan that I could afford for what is not covered. I got 8 lava porcelain crowns and now my teeth are really beautiful! All my friends and coworkers think they are great and that I look younger! I also presented many challenges to Dr. Mahmoodian and her staff and they took excellent care of me. I have a bleeding disorder so they had to take extra care to prevent excessive bleeding. I also had very sensitive areas and required extra pain control. Dr. Mahmoodian is very kind and gentle and always asked if I was feeling any pain. They have nitrous oxide available and that is the only way I could tolerate having so much work done. She is very conscientious; if the work wasn't perfect she took the time to make it perfect. It meant time in the chair, but it also meant quality work. My daughter found Dr. Mahmoodian on the internet and we came to her for a second opinion on my daughter's braces. The invisiline braces were less expensive with Woodside Dental than the other place and my daughter liked the gentle approach of Dr. Mahmoodian for a couple of fillings she needed done. She is a total dental chicken and was given nitrous oxide and tolerated the work very well. So far our family is happy with Woodside Dental! I have recommended them to my friends and co-workers.

When my X-Dentist recommended and pulled out one of my tooth and gave me outrageous pricing for a bridge, I started to look for a new dentist. One of my friends said that he is very satisfied with his dentist at Woodside Dental and asked me to try them. That was about 10 years ago. Since then, I have been using Woodside Dental as my primary dental office. I have had many fillings and two bridges. For one of my bridges, I got to the office late. Dentist and Staff stayed after hours and performed the procedure. I have had both of my bridges for more than eight years. I also take my two daughters to the same office for their dental work and every time they get quality work and leave the office very happy. I would recommend Woodside Dental to whoever is looking for quality dental work, friendly staff, and fair pricing.

I was recommended by a friend and it has been the best experience with a dentist that I have had. I needed a lot of fillings and various other services. They helped me plan out my whole treatment regimen and payment plan. They also will take time to educate you about everything. I go to Dr. Mahmoodian but the other dentists are wonderful as well. They will colaborate at times to ensure that you have the best possible care. I have to say that they were flexible with my schedule and involved me in the decision making process instead of just trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I don't need which some dentists try to do. I've always been nervous about visits to the dentist especially after having negative experiences in the past with cavities and braces as a kid. After a year of not going to the dentist, I finally made a visit to Woodside Dental since it was conveniently located by UCLA and they accepted my student insurance plan. As I suspected, a year without a formal cleaning did some damage to my teeth but nothing that Dr. Mahmoodian and her knowledgeable staff could not fix. As it turns out, I needed a routine cleaning plus onlays and a couple of other procedures to restore my healthy gums and pearly whites! Given my financial situation - broke grad student who is also about to get married - I chose to forgo the teeth whitening that Dr. Mahmoodian recommended. Overall, she and everyone in her team regained my confidence in dental care. They made me laugh, put me at ease and did a thorough job of explaining each procedure and the costs involved. I highly recommend a visit to their office the next time you need a cleaning!

First of all, I have a passion for the quality of excellence. I see it as the tipping point on which future progress of our society hinges. Dr. Mahmoodian and her office exhibits this quality to the highest degree. The front office is a pleasure with which to interact. The office itself is both immaculate and has the latest in dental technology, i.e. digital X-rays. Dr. Mahmoodian makes use of this technology primarily because of the timely training she received at Boston University. Personally, she is a paragon of excellence. Thoughtful, as you would expect one who has this quality, she is also kind, compassionate, and not the least, has the quiet confidence of a young mother.
I have been a patient of hers for over a year and feel fortunate to having found her as a result of a search on the world wide web, being totally happy with her work. I began the search when I was not happy with the dentist my HMO assigned. I would unconditionally recommend her.
Allow me to begin with a frame of reference: I used to absolutely dread going to the dentist, and I was never what you would call an easy patient. Getting that 6-month checkup notice in the mail was right up there with receiving my yearly property tax assessment or finding a surprise IRS audit. That was until I was referred to Woodside Dental, and my entire experience has been changed ever since. To start, the staff is as friendly as can be. They have treated me very kindly and have been more than accommodating to meet my ever-changing schedule. Given their time, attention, and warmth (the latter of which is all-too-often missing in the world of customer service these days), I not only feel like their best customer, but their only customer (even though I am certain, in actuality, that I am neither!).
Then there is Dr. Mahmoodian, who has demonstrated nothing less than complete care, attention, and professionalism. And most important, of course, there is plenty of talent to complement those traits. I have sat in Dr. Mahmoodian's chair several times, and I have yet to feel any of the work she has performed during those sessions. In other words, I spend my time in the chair casually thinking about where I'm going to eat as soon the novocaine wears off.
I simply cannot recommend Woodside Dental--and especially the services of Dr. Mahmoodian--enough.
One word...awesome! I love Dr Shammaie, he?s more than a great dentist...he's caring, gentle and somebody you can trust. Not comparable to any other dentist that I have been to. Once you go to Dr Shammaie, you will never want to go to another dentist. I would pay a lot more for the service I get when I go to get my teeth checked out by Dr. Shammaie. I've been to several dentists in the past and I've always felt rushed. My cleanings were never more than 10-15 minutes but with Dr. Shammaie his standard cleaning is almost an hour! You know you're getting your teeth taken care of when the he spends that much time with you. The reason why I decided to go to Dr. Shammaie was because it's rare to find a doctor that does most of teeth cleaning rather than being done by dental assistant .Dr Shammaie and his staff are extremely nice and through with their process. The last time I visited him, I had two cavities filled and he very carefully sculpted the fillings so that they don't show at all, even though they are in back molars. Several hours afterward, he called me at home to make sure that my bite felt normal. I felt very comfortable. Unlike the other dentists that I went to, trying to sell me services that I wasn't sure if I needed or not. I can't think of any down side with Dr. Shammaie that was why I referred him to my daughter and her husband. And they were very satisfied with Dr. Shammaie services.
